With over 18,000 runs, David is sitting pretty at the top of the CTCC all time batting chart. His appeal does not end with an unsatiable thirst for runs, though - David has also taken over 200 wickets for the club.

In his pomp, David - the eldest Gowshall brother - was said to be dominant off the back foot, capable of dictating the game with trademark cuts and pulls. Now in the twilight of his career, David has assumed a Third Team mentoring role.

Having struggled with the bat in recent years, David has enjoyed something of a renaissance in 2011 - scoring 381 runs at an average of 23.81. He will be hoping for a similar return in 2012.
