Ernie is arguably the greatest cricketer to pull on a Caistor shirt - with over 12,000 runs and 900 wickets, he has done it all at Brigg Road - including a spell as captain of all three senior teams.

With countless centuries and five-wicket hauls to his name, Ernie is still going strong and, in 2012, will enjoy his 50th year as a CTCC player. In addition to his on-field success, Ernie is regarded as one of the finest groundmen in Lincolnshire - maintaining the club's picturesque complex.

Now captain of the Third Team, Ernie has been tasked, in combination with David Gowshall, with nurturing the next generation of CTCC stars.
