PP Liam Wood

Following years of insecurity, Liam's value to CTCC was confirmed in 2011 - firstly by a career high 78 against Alkborough 1st XI, and then by his elevation to the First Team captaincy, following the surprise resignation of Peter Briggs.

Despite inheriting a struggling team, Liam started his reign with four straight victories, helping to pull CTCC away from danger and towards a sixth place Premier Division finish.

In addition to his middle order role, Liam is also the club's primary slip fielder - capable of catching pigeons, according to the popular paraphrase. With an entire winter to prepare, Liam will be judged by results in 2012.
