Paul was once described by Nick Cowley, the Market Deeping 1st XI spinner, as a bowler who "runs in all day, puts the ball on a length and bores the s*** out of you." In truth, he could have received no greater compliment.

CTCC's answer to Forest Gump has been an integral figure at Brigg Road for more than a decade and, should he remain injury free, Paul will eventually overhaul Dennis Allison as the club's leading wicket taker.

With the ball, Paul is able to extract movement at will - both off the seam and through the air. With the bat, Paul is at his best when aggressive, though the runs have dried up somewhat in recent seasons.
