Whether he is blocking, blasting or bunging, Ryan always conducts himself with great passion and belief. In 2010, Ryan became the seventh, and youngest, CTCC bowler to reach 500 wickets.

In 2006, Ryan captained the Second Team to Lincolnshire County League Division Two glory - his side, talented and committed, remained unbeaten throughout the campaign.

Despite his success, Ryan relinquished his role in search of regular First Team action. By the end of 2009, his quest was over - Ryan repaid the selectors faith with 17 wickets in his maiden Lincolnshire ECB Premier League season.
